Javius “Jay Shellz” Hardy
Jay Shellz is Connecticut next rising Hip Hop artist. He lives in the New
Haven area.
Over the years his interest in music changed when he lost his grandmother.
While serving a two-year sentence, he decided that he needed a new and
positive outlet in his life, so he began to write lyrics.
Once he returned home he started putting his heart and soul into his music.
He received the name Jay Shellz from his friends who stated, “He was
killing the other rappers in neighborhoods street battles”. With that in
mind he start working even harder. He put out several singles titled: Jay
Shellz Back, Stay Scheming,& Motivation. Those songs received such
positive feedback that he made his first mixtape CD called Contamination.
It was completed mid-summer of 2012. Once it was released the feedback was
more overwhelming then he expected.Since then he caught the attention of
Juan Thompson of Jei-Records Management. He stated that “he is one of
their hottest new and upcoming artist for 2013”. He new mixtape album
called "Ahead Of The Game". It has been picked up by iTunes, Amazon,
Google Play ,7digital, MOG just to name a few.
